What can place a child in better spirits than attending a summer camp?

At Dragonfly Heart Camp

Children find courage - it may be sliding down the zip-line for the first time or overcoming
the fears of a "first week away from home."

They will discover new strength and confidence in our caring environment of camping activities - from "landing the big one" to hikes exploring the surrounding natural beauty of the Eastern Shore.

And they will find happiness and acceptance in new friendships with peers who have similar life-experiences as their worries slip away.

And most of all, they get to be kids!

Mission

Dragonfly Heart Camp is a very special summer camp for children who have received a heart and/or lung transplant, or are diagnosed with Pulmonary Hypertension. It is the first camp in the country that is specifically designed to accommodate children with these complex cardio-pulmonary conditions.

Location

Dragonfly Heart Camp is located on the beautiful grounds of Echo Hill Outdoor School on Maryland's Eastern Shore along the Chesapeake Bay.

Registration Information

This year we will hold two, one week sessions. Each one week session is open to 20 campers, ages 7-18.

Summer sessions for 2009 are being held:

Session I: July 27th to August 1st
Session II: August 2nd to August 7th

Campers must deisignate first choice, second choice and not available regarding Session I
or Session II when registering. We will try to honor all requests, however choices are not guaranteed. Camp is FREE to all qualified* campers with the exception of a non-refundable $50.00 registration fee.

We are taking campers on a first-come basis. So get your forms in early!
